Speech On By Default

Speech — text-to-speech narration in Alfred's or Ada's voice — is now active out of the box for every new account. Existing users who never explicitly turned it off get it back-filled into their active toolbox the next time they open Tool Settings. If you deliberately turned it off before, your setting is respected.

What changes for you

• New accounts — Speech is in your active toolbox from day one. Ask for narration and it works without a setup detour.
• Existing users who never touched tool settings — Speech shows up in your active list on your next visit. No surprise popups mid-chat.
• Existing users who deliberately disabled Speech — your setting stays. It remains off until you turn it back on.

Two voices are available — Alfred and Ada. Pick one in your prompt ("narrate this in Ada's voice") or let the agent choose.

When you'd notice it

• You sign up, ask for a 30-second narrated product intro, and it just runs. No detour to enable a tool, no "Speech isn't active" popup eating a turn.
• You're an existing Pro user who never configured tools. You open a session and Speech is now in your active list.

Heads up

Speech is a premium tool. On Community (free) it stays unavailable regardless of the default — this change only affects Pro and above.
